Synopsis:

The Gossip File:
-Chandra lets little kids pee in the pool.
-Melody stole $ from the cafe register.
-Ava isn't who she says she is...

Ava is cool. Ava is confident. Ava is really Rachel Lee who is lying her butt off.

Rachel is visiting her dad at a resort in sunny Florida and is ready for two weeks of relaxing poolside, trips to Disney World and NOT scrubbing toilets. Until her dad's new girlfriend, Ellie, begs Rachel to help out at her short-staffed cafe. That's when Rachel kinda sorta adopts a new identity to impress the cool, older girls who work there. Ava is everything Rachel wishes she could be. But when the girls ask "Ava" to help add juicy resort gossip to their file, Rachel's not sure what to do...especially when one of the entries is a secret about Ellie.

First, I'm super glad when got email from the publisher, offered an ARC for the last book from "The Dirt Series". I have reviewed "The Prank List" and interviewed the author, Anna Staniszewski.

The book was a fun read and I have a great time when interviewed Anna. So, when given the opportunity to be the part of "The Gossip File" virtual tour, I immediately said "YES!"

Anna's guest post is scheduled to published on Jan. 8, 2015. So, please mark that date as there will be a giveaway! *YEAY!

Unfortunately, the giveaway is for U.S resident only. Sorry for Indonesian reader! :(

Now, let me share my thoughts for this book.

First, it feels like watching some old movie, specifically the "Olsen twin movie". The one with kids dislike their "upcoming step-mom" and do whatever it takes to cancel the wedding.

Rachel, much older than Olsen-twin at the movie, not really like Ellie, his daddy new girlfriend. But, well, Rachel has a point.

She came to Florida to have fun with her dad while in fact, she almost have no time with her dad and also have to do part-time job. It's not about the money, but its about her wish to spend quality time with Dad.

Despite have to "share" Dad with Ellie, Rachel have to deal with Ellie's son, Caleb, whose not interested with anyone but his project.

Luckily, she meet interesting people at cafe; Carrie and Taylor. They were mistaken Rachel as Ava, the one who supposed to do intern at the cafe.

Rachel thought: "Well, I can be Ava!"

It would be nice to pretend as someone else. Especially when Rachel was told about "The Gossip File". She cannot let other people know she is "Ellie's soon-to-be step daughter".

And, so the stories goes...

It's kinda sad to know it would be the last time reading Rachel's journey. I had so much fun with her! :(

I believe she would always have interesting stories to share. Maybe her love life, or maybe her journey to become a chef?

After all, thanks to Anna for writing such a light-funny-interesting story. Can't wait to read another book by her.
